William Robinson founded Kay & Kay in London, Kentucky in 1977 with a 1942 Chevy truck, a John Deere backhoe, and a conviction that’s guided the company ever since: that good work, done honestly, speaks for itself.
What began with paved ditches along I-75 has grown into one of Central and Southern Kentucky’s most trusted infrastructure contractors — building bridges, highways, drainage systems, and structural concrete that communities depend on every day.
His daughter Sara Robinson carries that standard forward. A Licensed Professional Engineer, Vanderbilt University graduate, and 20-year industry veteran, Sara leads with the same exacting care her father modeled. The equipment has grown. The prequalifications have expanded. The projects have scaled. But the thing that matters most about Kay & Kay hasn’t changed: the people here care — about the work, about each other, and about the communities whose infrastructure they build.
